G&B hands over Christmas donation

News | Hamburg

A few days ago Grossmann & Berger handed € 2,648.83 to the children’s charity Kindertreff Oldenfelde - the amount collected during the Christmas charity appeal. “Our donation will enable the association to have an overdue repair to its bus carried out,” Lars Seidel, managing director of Grossmann & Berger is happy to report.

The association needs the bus for excursions and holiday trips. The vehicle is also used to distribute furniture, clothing and food to the families of needy children.

Social worker Astrid Trampert founded the Kindertreff Oldenfelde charity in Rahlstedt and organizes the facility in collaboration with her husband and volunteers. Socially disadvantaged children between the ages of six and twelve are looked after in the afternoons and free hot meals and drinks are available. Astrid Trampert says, “Our aim is to give children with a difficult home life more self-esteem and offer a place they can feel safe.” More than 45 children attend the facility each day.

Grossmann & Berger says "thank you" to all donators.
