Founded in May 2016 by the Hamburg publishing house Gruner + Jahr, the content communication provider TERRITORY has found a new corporate seat in the the city. Located opposite Hamburg’s historic warehouse district, the building at Bei den Mühren 1 offers 2,870 m² of office space which Europe’s biggest provider of communication content intends to turn into its head office.
TERRITORY was created by the merger of G+J Corporate Editors, Medienfabrik, Employour, CrossMarketing and trnd; it employs 850 people at 14 locations in eight countries and generates turnover of €130m. Under its CEO Soheil Dastyari, the company is the market leader in the content communication sector.
The seven-story office building at Bei den Mühren 1 in Hamburg “Altstadt” stands on the customs canal separating the “old town” from the warehouse district; built in 1961, it is owned by the Borchard shipping company. Between 2001 and 2002 it was refurbished by the project developer Hamburg Team using designs created by BRT Bothe Richter Teherani, and a top floor featuring 4-metre high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows was added.
The rental agreement was brokered by CBRE and Grossmann & Berger, a member of German Property Partners
