In time for the start of the new season in Spring 2020, LUICELLA’S Ice Cream is opening their fifth ice cream parlour. Ice cream lovers will find the outlet at Osterstrasse 133 in the Eimsbüttel district of Hamburg stocked with the biggest range of craft ice creams yet produced by this cult label from Hamburg. The firm has rented some 369 m² of space, of which 200 m² is used as sales floor. Located on bustling Osterstrasse, the new ice cream parlour is in a neighbourhood full of shops, restaurants and cafés. A real estate management company from Hamburg owns the property. Grossmann & Berger, a member of German Property Partners
(GPP), brokered the lease.
Natural ingredients, unusual creations and do-it-yourself ice cream
LUICELLA’S ice cream contains only natural ingredients such as regionally sourced milk and cream, plus fresh fruit, nuts and spices. Absolutely no artificial flavourings and colourants are added. In addition to the three other ice cream parlours in Hamburg’s St. Pauli, St. Georg and Grindel districts, plus one in Lübeck, the firm also sells ice cream to take away in 130 ml and 500 ml tubs. Ice-cream-making workshops for beginners and more advanced students are also held regularly. The start-up was first noticed by a wider public when it appeared on TV in the German version of “Dragons’ Den”. Here, in September 2017, founders Luisa Mentele and Markus Deibler presented a mix which enables customers to make ice-cream at home and is now available in food shops all over the country.
