fleur de berlin” is the name of a new housing development set to revive French flair in the “Cité Foch”, once home to occupying French forces in the Berlin district of Wittenau. Totalling 241 apartments for private ownership, the development consists of five buildings, each five stories high. Grossmann & Berger has starting brokering the sale of the 140 apartments in the first section of the construction project.
A link between urban living and Nature
“Cité Foch” was built between 1952 and 1976 as a residential area for French military personnel and their families. The “fleur de berlin” new build development is to stand on the site previously occupied by the “Centre Commercial” shopping centre between the Rue Montesquieu and the Avenue Charles de Gaulle.  Set on the edge of Wittenau, this location offers a good quality life-style due to its proximity to the Steinberg park and the Tegeler Fliess riverscape. At the same time, residents will be served by the good infrastructure of Reinickendorf and can travel directly into the centre of Berlin on the S-Bahn train. “This new build development combines urban living with Nature on the doorstep. The apartments are ideal for people who love the countryside but also appreciate the amenities of the city,” says Thomas Brinktriene, head of Grossmann & Berger’s department for new builds in Berlin.
A great deal of privacy and comfort
Altogether, five residential buildings grouped around a landscaped garden form the “fleur de berlin” ensemble. In the first section under construction, the five stories are taken up by apartments ranging from two to four rooms and 54 to 104 m². Thus the development caters to families, couples and singles. Purchase prices for one apartment range from €180,000 to €730,000. Ground-floor apartments have gardens and patios, while those on the upper floors have balconies and roof terraces.  Every building will be equipped with an elevator, so that the upper floor residents can reach their apartments without effort. Moreover, the way in which Höhne Architeken BDA have designed the homes, including features such as separate hallways and carefully planned garden areas, offer a maximum degree of privacy. The contemporary layouts of the flats - open-plan living and dining areas, windows that stretch, for the most part, from floor to ceiling, and superior fittings - create comfortable homes. A total of 103 spaces will be available in the underground garage at prices between €27,000 and €32,500. There will be 45 parking bays in the first section.
