A Hamburg real estate company recently purchased the “Turnhalle”, a gym that has been converted into a restaurant, at Lange Reihe 107, Hamburg-St. Georg. The property, offering around 950 m² of usable space, was sold by a private investor.
Grossmann & Berger, a member of German Property Partners (GPP), was involved in the transaction.
Since 2014 the entire “Turnhalle” property has been let on a long-term lease to “Hans im Glück”, an upmarket burger restaurant franchise.
Originally, the gym was built in 1889 and formed part of a girls’ school in the centre of St. Georg district. In 2002 the property was converted into retail space and has been operated as a restaurant since then.
Lange Reihe is the main shopping street in Hamburg’s newly trendy district of St. Georg and features many independent retail and restaurant businesses.
