Tiger Deutschland GmbH plans to open a new shop in mid August with some 280 m² of sales space at Grosser Burstah 27. The company, which already operates at 323 sites in 21 countries, has taken a two-storey shop where it will sell gifts, decorations, toys and stationery as well as arts and crafts supplies. Located near the Chamber of Commerce and Town Hall, the building has an eight-metre long shop window, offering an ideal show-case for the goods inside. The transaction was brokered by Grossmann & Berger GmbH.
Among the improvements in the Nikolai Quarter BID scheduled for completion by 2017 are building projects, more green areas and a new arrangement of public space; the combined effect will be to considerably enhance the role of Grosser Burstah as the district’s central street. This is likely to significantly increase the number of walk-in customers between the continuation of Mönckebergstrasse and Grosse Johannisstrasse up to Rödingsmarkt.
