Even more is happening in Hamburg’s inner city.  The new build development “Mayer - new in town” is another contribution to the revitalization of Neustadt district. 26 apartments are planned at Neumayerstrasse 8+9 and will be offered for sale through Grossmann & Berger. The scheduled completion date is spring 2019.
The apartments vary in size between 47 m² and 114 m² of living space. Purchasers may choose between apartments with two, three or four rooms. Most of these have floor to ceiling windows, a balcony, (roof) patio or garden space and the majority overlook the Alter Elbpark.
The smallest apartment is on sale for €350,000, the biggest for €940,000. In addition, a parking space in the underground garage may be bought for €34,000. The garage has room for 20 parking spaces.
The new development is located between the “Dancing Towers” at the start of the Reeperbahn and the iconic “Michel” church in one direction and between “Planten un Blomen” gardens and the “Landungsbrücken” jetties in the other. “The building makes best possible use of the immediate surroundings. Most of the apartments overlook the Alter Elbpark, offering a view of green space in the heart of Hamburg,” says Garlef Kaché, head of the new build sector at Grossmann & Berger, describing the site. “Not only that, most apartments overlook the road too, so that they receive daylight from two sides.”
The new building is four full stories high plus a penthouse floor. The curve of the outer wall follows the line of the property border. With its red-brick façade, this new building will seamlessly fit in with the neighbouring structures of Neustadt district. The land is cleared, the preparatory work is due to start soon.
