Watson Farley & Williams, an international law firm specialized in corporate and industrial matters, has taken some 1,515 m² of office space in the “Stadthöfe” at Stadthausbrücke, Hamburg.
The transaction was brokered by Grossmann & Berger, a member of German Property Partners (GPP), who had previously acted for the law firm in 2013, when 4,000 m² of space was taken in the same development. Although the project is not due for completion until 2017, Watson Farley & Williams have decided they will need more office space. The total area rented now adds up to 5,515 m².
The “Stadthöfe” project is an ensemble of several buildings and inner courtyards connected by passages and new paths which will allow people to cross from Neuer Wall over to Grosse Bleichen.
Quantum Immobilien AG bought the complex of buildings from the City of Hamburg in 2009. The new owner plans to convert the site to a mix of hotel, apartments, restaurants, offices, shops and exhibition space.
In 2014 Grossmann & Berger assisted Watson Farley & Williams in finding offices at Jungfernstieg 51 in the “Prien Haus”. These premises are a temporary solution until the “Stadthöfe” are ready.
