Acting as the lead broker, Grossmann & Berger, a member of
German Property Partners (GPP), has identified two commercial tenants for the new building on the corner of Willy-Brandt-Strasse 55 and Neue Gröningerstrasse 13.
Chiquita Banana and Vires Conferre are each taking some 266 m² of office space (total about 532 m²).
The international fruit trading company Chiquita Banana has relocated its German headquarters from Duisburg to Hamburg and now occupies third-floor offices. The tenant was represented by CBRE.
The HR consultancy Vires Conferre, which was founded in 2004 and has its main office in Berlin, will move into fourth-floor offices in mid-May. Until now, the Hamburg branch, first established in August 2013, has rented offices at Stadthausbrücke 1-3.
The new-build commercial development is owned by the Lower Saxony medical practitioners’ pension fund Ärzteversorgung Niedersachsen.
The “Katharina Quarter” stands on a site formerly occupied by a school, set between Willy-Brandt-Strasse and St. Catherine’s church. The project was a joint development by Hochtief Projektentwicklung GmbH, Hamburg’s town planners and the church parish. The quarter consists of one office and two residential blocks around a central courtyard, offering 131 apartments for rent.
Linking Hamburg inner city with HafenCity and the historic warehouse district “Speicherstadt”, it is one of the largest centrally located residential and rental apartment block developments.
