Grossmann & Berger’s Property Advisers use their property expertise to assist clients and prospective clients. This is why a sound understanding of the property business – whether as a result of several years’ experience of working in property or of a property-related traineeship – is very important to us. An interest in architecture and construction would help round off your profile, but is not absolutely necessary.

Our teams comprise sales-oriented property advisers whose main concern is advising clients and ensuring their satisfaction. Our advisers have permanent positions so that they can support our clients to the best of their abilities. They demonstrate a focus on performance along with team spirit. The latter is particularly important to us, because the best advisory service comes from continually communicating with the rest of the team in order to find the optimal solution for each property assignment. Therefore we are looking for team-oriented property advisers with a gift for customer and property acquisition who are interested in long-term collegial collaboration. You must demonstrate a sales-driven approach, as this is essential for Property Advisers at Grossman & Berger.

It is also important to us that you make a well-educated, courteous impression when dealing with clients. You behave in a professional and self-confident manner towards business partners and prospective customers. You demonstrate independence and initiative in supporting existing clients, acquiring new clients and developing relationships with relevant contacts both within and beyond the HASPA Group.

There are some additional requirements that vary according to sales area (Commercial Lettings, Commercial Property Investment, Residential):

  • Commercial Property Investment:
    A smart appearance, discretion and professional competence are particularly important in this area. Our Investment team not only supports notable Hamburg residents; it also deals with national and international portfolios and clients. Fluency in English is therefore essential for Property Investment Advisers.
  • Commercial Lettings:
    The Lettings divisions for office and industrial spaces focuses on the Hamburg metropolitan area. Contacts with Hamburg business people, auditors, tax consultants, architects and engineers are therefore advantageous. In the Retail division, a strong affinity with and knowledge of the German and international retail and brand landscape is important. English language skills are advantageous due to our client structure.
  • Residential:
    Our Residential Property Advisers generally work in teams in our branch offices, and can therefore make many independent decisions. This means advisers who work in this division should be all-rounders with strong teamwork skills. A gift for acquiring customers and properties plays a particularly important role. Excellent local market knowledge and a regional network are advantageous. This also applies to our Apartment Building advisers and our Lettings team, who work together as a team at each location.
